Kideeka – Screen Time & Safety Policy (Web & App)

1.Purpose

Kideeka is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and age-appropriate learning experience for children across both our website and mobile apps (Android & iOS).This policy explains how we:

  • Manage and limit children’s screen time

  • Protect children’s safety and privacy

  • Support parents with control tools and monitoring features

  • Moderate content and interactions

  • Respond to safety incidents quickly

2.Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All Kideeka platforms: web, Android app, iOS app

  • All account types: Parent/Guardian, Teacher/Tutor, and Child (managed) accounts

  • All learning features: games, quizzes, live lessons, chat, and teacher-led activities

3.Screen Time Recommendations

We recommend the following daily limits (you can adjust these in your parent dashboard):

  • Age Group

4.Parental Controls & Features

From your web dashboard or mobile app, you can:

  • Set Time Limits – daily total, per session, and specific learning hours

  • Auto-Lock Sessions – app/web locks when time is up; requires PIN to continue

  • Break Reminders – encourage healthy pauses between activities
    PIN Protection – for purchases and teacher bookings

  • Content Filters – hide topics unsuitable for your child’s age

  • Feature Controls – turn chat, video, or community features on/off

  • Activity Reports – see daily/weekly learning time, activities, and progress

  • Manage Multiple Profiles – each child can have their own settings

5.Platform Safety Measure

We use both technology and human review to keep the platform safe:

  • Encrypted Data – all chats, videos, and personal data are securely transmitted

  • Automated Moderation – unsafe text, images, or audio are flagged for review

  • Verified Adults Only – only checked and approved teachers can interact with children

  • Safe Defaults – chat is off by default; children have no public profiles

6.Video & Audio Lesson Safety:

  • Parents must approve all live video/audio calls in advance

  • Teachers must be verified before teaching

  • Sessions can be recorded only with parent permission

  • For children under 13, a parent or guardian should be nearby during lessons

7.Reporting Problems

If you or your child notice something unsafe:

  2. We confirm receipt within 24 hours

  3. Urgent reports are handled immediately, and we may involve parents or authorities if necessary

8.Data & Privacy:

  • We collect only what’s needed for learning and safety

  • Data is kept only as long as needed for learning records and safety logs

  • Settings for slower speech, simpler screens, or extended time
